We, the two founders of Manakaa Project, came into contact with the art of Indian beadwork and the special production method of non-violent silk through a social project. Back in Berlin, the idea arose to incorporate these traditional production methods into our production process.

This also gives rise to the name of our label - Manakaa means “pearl” in Hindi. And Project because we wanted to be more than just another fashion label;  With its slow fashion principle, Manakaa Project stands for an appreciative understanding of elegant design in combination with the diverse aspects of sustainability in production and the selection of special materials.  We produce seasonally independent in small quantities and  regularly add selected pieces and new color editions to the collection.

Our showroom is located in Berlin-Charlottenburg.  We organize events at regular intervals.
